That is a beautiful gun man. I want to add one with the red field scope to my collection. Either that or a M40. I might buy one of them from aim surplus.

How do you mean "break this in"?

If you mean some sort of special "fire one shot, clean the barrel, fire another shot, clean the barrel" type procedure, as some advocate for target barrels, I wouldn't bother.

As far as I know, the military "broke in" these barrels by shooting them.

If you mean firing the slightly abrasive "final finish" type bullets to smooth the bore, I wouldn't even consider it.

Just shoot the rifle and enjoy.

Finally took it out 4 weeks later. This is what it did at 100.
