If anyone needs 9 or any other caliber for that matter, cabelas has herters in stock with no limit. Price is decent, especially if you have $5 shipping. The fact that there are no limits and its been in stock for a while is a good sign. Get it if you need it!

$5 shipping does not work for ammo unfortunately But I am about to order a few boxes, so if there is a code for $5 shipping please post it here.

probably you misread my post.
clubfive is on, $5 shipping.
But it used to be FREE or 0$ before, using clubvisa or similar code.

Go there once, see what a local gouge racket looks like in person and run, run forest run away. . Sportsmens supply has run this kind of racket even before the panic and have been very creative with appearing barely in stock, those two huge extremely well stocked cargo containers in the back are proof enough.
choice rounds like mini mags can be had for 8-10 cents, otherwise try for the 4-6 cent range. if it costs more than a dime, it ain't fine.
They do gouge like crazy unless you're looking for 12 gauge. They usually have it at a reasonable price and cases of it. I think i picked up a case for about $65 2-3months ago or so which is about the same price as walmart. Then they try to tell you $40 a single box of 9mm is a great deal (no exaggeration) I don't like supporting gougers but if you're desperate for 12 gauge and can't get it they've go some. Mel's cotton usually has 12 gauge as well but a bit pricier, I think like $8.50 a box or so

Get paid on Saturday hopefully, then I will have cash to burn on some ammo. Weird how most manufacturers are only producing a little to keep a few people happy. It can't be all the hoarders buying it all up.

i went over to big 5 milpitas. they have a good amount of 12 gauge there. a little pricey at $8/25. the manager told me to come by friday as soon as they open. they "may or may not" have .22lr bricks coming in. he said if you show up an hour after opening, it's a guarentee that they'll be out.

@ mizouse, Big 5 opens at 10 am, Friday is the once a week stock, so they can get a crowd, I've never bothered stopping in to line up, so not sure if it's still as bad as it once was. good luck!

what you looking for Mizouse? I posted some stuff on cabelas the other day, but I saw 9, 45, 40 ect still on there.

If you are willing to pay Big 5 prices, Cabelas is usually better (and they deliver it to your doorstep!).

or...are you just looking for that ammo high rush you get from scoring it in person! haha

Ohh well.

There's been a few sites (SG Ammo, Cabelas, copes, PSA etc) that have recently pushed out a lot of great ammo, for near Wallyworld prices ... i've been very fortunate recently .. let me know if there's anything that are YOU completely out of / hurting for ..

if not, good luck .. and the let the hunt continue ..

If I started a thread about "Wal Mart in Eureka CA" there would be no updates ever, as they have never stocked any common caliber of any use ever in common demand by the public. Before the panic there was minimal to no stock of anything of any use. Since the panic, useful ammunition at the Eureka Wal Mart has given up completely on even trying. There was never anything amazingly priced there even with what little they did barely stock before the panic. On a good day you might find an roughed up opened box of 16 gauge shotgun ammunition at my local walmart for only 6 cents/box cheaper than the lowest priced gun shop out in town. You guys in the bay area must have some better people doing the ordering/stocking down there. The Wal Mart up here in Eureka is practically useless. There are gas station general stores in northern CA that are better stocked with ammunition then our Wal Mart.

It is pretty amazing. I'm surprised that the local Wal Mart doesn't try to compete with the ammo places in the region based on some of the cut throat methods I've read about them using the run out small businesses such as selling items and a huge loss until the other businesses die off then raise the price.
Ours here doesn't sell firearms, just ammo. It's part of our local mall. That's the only way they could get into town.

More than likely those stories are bunk and Walmart is just selling at the same prices they do in all of their stores. Some people just luvvvv to hate on Walmart.

Walmart is a corporate juggernaut... I seriously doubt individual stores are capable of setting their own prices.
A big reason they tend to have such low prices is that being the largest retailer in the country, they (walmart corporate) have pricing agreements with the different suppliers. They can leverage all of that purchasing volume into the best prices possible, and still have room for a goodly amount of profit.
Your local gun shop is still just trying hard to get his hands on a few cases of whatever, and since he's not moving that many units, he's gotta jack up the margin to make it even worth it.
