If the only thing that went wrong was this mag, then I think that's not much of a blemish. It could not be intentional. It was not a box of ammo or anything.
I think a simple explanation will come up for it at some time.
I went to Utah last month, and I got to Nevada and realized I forgot my Colt .45. That could have been a big one if I had left it on the table at the restaurant or something, but I immediately realized I left it in the safe at home.
Just forgot to load it on the bike. No big deal, someone in Utah just lent me another .45 so I was able to do some shooting.

That's a good one, Becci.
RickyRay. I think she means no intestines. At least that was what I thought that meant.

Ricky Ray, people pay money in nice restaurants for Ahi that isn't that good. I'll bring the 45-70 again so you can shoot it.

Pigpen, shooting your Super Redhawk in 454 Cassull was awesome. I'll keep an eye open for 50AE ammo.

Beetle Bailey, your revolver in 44 Special was sweetness and light. Hope the chrono data helps.

As_rocketman, I liked the history lesson. It was a pleasure shooting next to you. BAR people need to stick together.

So many people yet so much good attitude and a willingness to share. Thanks for putting up with a newcomer. See you in July.
Thanks again, TackyDriver. Chrono was certainly helpful and thanks for the compliments on the revolver. It's a simple gun but also exactly what I wanted in a single action revolver:

http://www.gunblast.com/Ruger-44Flattop.htm

Well, exactly what I wanted in a cartridge shooting single action, anyways. Still wouldn't mind one more cap & ball wheelgun. Happy hunting with the .45-70

I never said it was intentional its only a ten dollar mag. I would be worried if the person who picked it up got caught with it in a rifle with a BB.

I'm pretty sure someone just accidentally swapped a mag
I mean USGI mags are pretty much identical....

It was someone else that did not say, but did imply that there was a sinister motive to it, as if it were intentional.
I did not say that you said ... I did not say that anyone said. All I said was, I don't think it was intentional.
I saw people out there with 20, 30 mags. And they do all look very similar.
Not everybody reads the forum every day, so maybe in time.

Hey David and the other calgunner, sorry didn't catch your name, thanks for helping with with the Savage that day.

My nephew brought the rifle over yesterday and we were able to get the bolt open by spraying lubricant down the bore, letting it sit for an hour, then tapping the bolt handle with a rubber mallet.

The chamber looked like it had lot of rust, but the bore was clean.

Bummed I couldn't make it. Two work deadlines this weekend. Looks like a good time was had by all (except for the missing mag... that sucks).
