Default Picked up RivCo permit today

Got the call from one of Riverside's fine Deputies that my permit is waiting at their office. Of course I happen to be out-of-town. Should be able to pickup on Friday. It's been about 3 months...not too bad. Deputies over there are super cool.

***Edit 6/21/13: Got it***

I know that feeling, I picked mine up a couple weeks ago in Madera county.

Be safe!

Congrats! I picked my RivCo permit 3 days ago... carrying everywhere is not as "awkward" as I thought, I am a bit paranoid of my shirt coming up and the handle sticking out in plain sight though lol

Picked up the permit today. Haven't really determined what carry position I'll use. I had my Glock 27 IWB at appendix and bending over/sitting jabbed the muzzle into my crouch for most of the day. I'm really tempted to just say screw it and carry OWB at my side...holster is most secure, position is the fastest draw, and it's most comfortable in most situations. Just isn't concealed as well, but it seems like the only ones concerned about printing are other CCW's. Most people are pretty clueless to what's going on around them.

Anyone else carry OWB? I generally wear loose fitting untucked button-ups, so there's plenty of coverage.

Asked the deputy how many CCW holders there were in RivCo. He said the number was approaching 1000. He told me 95% of the people that apply get it. I take that to mean that 95% of the applications they accept and forward get approved. The deputies do a good job reviewing the packet and I don't think they'd push it forward if they thought you had some major issue. They are definitely there to help, not hinder. He didn't tell me how many of the current CCW holders were 1st time permits versus renewals, but as imagined, he said once the SHTF with firearms in general the interest in CCWs picked up considerably.

Congrats, I'm just waiting for my 3 letters before I turn my app in. Anything you can share about the interview process?
