Default PSA Hipertouch trigger

Does anyone have experience with the Hipertouch trigger that PSA sells. It is a single stage.

I bought this lowers kit from PSA over the weekend:
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...touch-lbk.html

My Larue AR has a Geissele SSA 2 stage which I like. I was going to buy another for this build but at $210 it wasn't going to work for a 2nd AR that I'm watching my budget on. The kit was a good price if all of the components are as good as I am hoping they are.

PSA makes the Hipertouch sound like the end all of triggers but I have never heard of it before. Is it a PSA exclusive?

It's not PSA exclusive, and I've heard of them before, just never heard of anyone actually using one http://www.hiperfire.com/products/

I installed one in an LWRC a few months back. They're sending an "upgraded" part or two, so I'll be reinstalling later this week. The upgraded parts don't affect function, IIRC an alloy part is replaced with steel and the coupler has a small hole in it making installation easier.

Honestly, I don't know that it does anything better than any of the other triggers out there. It is very well made, pretty easy to install and gives an excellent trigger pull. The two top springs definitely give the hammer increased striking power, there's a very definite and heavier/faster hammer fall when the hammer is in its last 1/3rd of travel. Perhaps this helps with faster lock time and difficult primers and does so without using a heavier mainspring that could affect bolt travel?

I use it as a two stage type, I don't use the "squad sniper" or whateveritis they call the single set position used in concert with the safety. By two stage I mean there is about 1/4" of take up, a definite staop and then a single stage pull.

Seems a touch expensive for what it does, but I think that of alot of the AR stuff out there .....

Any experience with other premium AR triggers to give a comparison?

I see that you're in the Bay Area. Any interest in comparing it with any of my triggers?

No, not really. Just the M16 and I was so thrilled with the 3 shot burst feature that I wouldn't have noticed even if I had to use Vice-grips to pull the trigger.

You are more than welcome to try my AR with the Geissele SSA trigger. If you want to try the Hipertouch I will contact you when that build is ready, probably late June after the 80% receiver comes in from polymer80. I usually go to Livermore or Chabot. PM me and we can make a plan.
