Default BLM range in Perris?

Hi everyone,

I had a friend tell me that there is an area in Perris that is okay to go and shoot. I have searched the threads and found references to Maywood and Rockpile but I am not sure if those are the places. We is going to take me there next week and tells me that he has a friend who is a sheriff that tells him it is okay to go out and shoot. He says it is off 74. Anyone know what he is referring to? I know that Rockpile was private??? I have been trying to find it on a map. Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Thanks everyone, I found it. It was awesome! I did clean up after myself and also picked up some shotgun shells that others left near where I was shooting. Thanks again.

Are you sure about that? I hear Bee Canyon closes every summer because of the fire danger, but I didn't hear that extended to Steele Peak.

Do not post locations in open forum! Just send PM or email. These threads can be seen by non members , and we don't need to make it any easier for dirtbags to find our few remaining spots to shoot and mess them up. Please delete street names , directions , etc if you posted them!

It would be nice if we had a private thread/sticky with shooting location directions.

I'm thinking CGF perk?

Default maywood rod and country club

Hello I just joined this forum to inform all of you that the Rock pile is no longer open the man that owned it passed away last year and a female I believe to be his wife called me at the beginning of this year and informed me of the closure. I believe there is a free area to shoot just past the Maywood rod and gun club I believe it is on BLM Land.
