I wish - Brass casings only but reach out to Island View to confirm, I could be wrong (but I don't think I am)

Less than 24 hour bump!

$5 to shoot, as long as you want (or they usher us out at closing ), you know you want to.

No ammo, or your hoard's at emergency low levels?

I'll bring a brick of 22lr, Aguila 40gr Standard Vel. and for a $5 donation to CGGSA you will receive a gift of 50 rounds. Limit one per person.

Working? Well, I can't offer you a job or anything. You shouldn't have used up all your personal and sick time with half the year to go, that's on you buddy!

Remember to wash your hands after shooting and before picking your nose.

See ya tomorrow 05-31 @ 6pm near the beach.

Let's raid one of LA chapters shoots next month @ Burro Canyon! June - Burro Canyon Shoot'n'Que
I think there's not a few who can't make these Friday evening events and this would be one way for us to still get out there, just a bit of a drive. Carpool?

assuming i get leave at the end of my shift tomorrow, i'll be there with my woman. even if i don't get my leave i'll still be there, just won't be until 7ish then. i'd be interested in that burro canyon shoot if we had a group go that way. we should maybe look in to a piru or maybe angeles range day? it'd be nice to get to an outdoor one as a group and not have to trek too far for it.

One more thing?!?! ahhahahaha! When I'm on, I'm on.

You guys wanna use the May Rimfire Match 2013 15 yd pistol for a little friendly match? I'll print some targets, bring the 22/45 and see what happens.

From the rimfire thread:
Quote:
15 yard Pistol Target, Iron Sights or Red Dot. No Magnified Optics.
Use the 25 rifle irons pdf
See Attachment
Take 3 shots at each bullseye. Center is 10, then 9, 8,7, 6, 5.
Score your target. Target may be shot off hand or from a bench rest. Off hand shooters will compete separately from bench rest shooters.
Bonus Points
Here is how it will work. This is only on targets that have multiple shots on one target. We shoot the targets as normal and add up the scores like normal. The twist is we shoot for groups as well. For example, if we are shooting 5 shots on each target. If none of the 5 bullet holes are touching you get no bonus points. If two are touching you get 2 bonus points. If three are touching you get 3 bonus points on up to a maximum of 5 bonus points for each target.
Our winner for the night gets??? Box of .22? Patch? Something? Bragging rights at the very least.

so looks like I'll be getting out of work early. Are we meeting up out front or in the range or what? I'll be the guy that you'd expect TSA to "randomly" select at the security line, see ya there!

Great meeting and talking with you all tonight.

Bunch a good people around here. I think turnout was really good, guessing 15+, at least 12. We had an out of town visitor (SD) and a bunch of first timers to IVE. IVE, as always, is really good to us.

My idea for a match didn't work overall but calgunner Madreno shot it (the only one ) and I believe as of right now is winning the 15yd pistol offhand category in the Official CGN Monthly Rimfire Match.

Good shootin' Madreno, your score tells a different story then your modesty.

You guys that went, chime in w/ your experience. It'll help us keep things going in the right direction.

-ready

i had fun, it's always a good time gettin out to shoot. first impression of IVE is very good. i think at some point we should maybe look into an outdoor range day, even though it might be a bit out of the way. maybe then my rifle won't offend so many people lol! here's a screen capture from a video i took of my girlfriend shooting.
