Default Traveling from San Bernardino to Las Vegas

I will soon be traveling from San Bernardino to Las Vegas. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with what to do With my Firearm when crossing state lines and storing it at the Vegas hotel? I have a small safe for my car That I plan on locking My gun up once across state line. Any pointers would be great thanks

Presuming an LTC in CA, but no license in NV...

Prior to crossing the border, move Holster/Gun combo to somewhere not on your body.
When you arrive at the hotel, unload and secure in a locked container.

Also assuming you have a CA LTC permit and do not have a NV CFP:

Option 1: Conceal carry your handgun while in CA. When you reach the state line (Primm, NV), uncover your your handgun and open carry. When you get to your hotel's parking lot, unload and secure your handgun in a locked container. Take the locked container to your hotel room.

Option 2: Conceal carry your handgun while in CA. When you reach the state line (Primm, NV), remove your handgun and place it on the seat next to you or under your seat or in your vehicle's glove/utility compartment. When you get to your hotel's parking lot, unload and secure your handgun in a locked container. Take the locked container to your hotel room.

Option 3: Conceal carry your handgun while in CA. When you reach the state line (Primm, NV), unload and secure your handgun in a locked container. Once you get to your hotel, take the locked container to your hotel room.

My apologies I did not give enough info. I do have LTC in ca. But not Nevada. I guess I knew you could open carry but did not even realize that was an option. I was worried about what the laws were on securing my firearm in vehicle once i cross state line. IE in trunk separate from ammo and so on. I have been tainted here in ca. Haha. Thanks guys for the info/ideas!

the best solution is to get a ccw in nv and not have to worry about anything. the entire process only takes 2 days: 1 day for class, 1 day to sumit your application to the sheriff; best part, no waiting time (except for finding a class)
