Default Oregon Non Resident CCW-Anyone Have One?

Has anyone in CA been able to obtain a non resident Oregon CCW? If so, what is the procedure? Thanks in advance.

Yes, they will issue to residences of neighboring states, you just need to apply with a sheriff that grants them. Fingerprint card, application, photos, proof of handgun training, and money. There was a guy who worked with an Oregon sheriff that used to travel to So Cal every so often and set this up, you can probably find the past threads about it.

I got mine in Grant Co. before they shut it down there. Easy procedure.

Yes. It was easy and painless, walk-in over the counter, 15 minutes to do the paperwork, and it was in my mailbox two weeks later. But that was before the budget cuts.

2nd that. Sheriff Palmer actually gave a deputy all the resources he would need to issue permits while he was on vacation in SoCal. The deputy took applications for dozens of permits at several stops up and down the state and actually spent 2 nights at his sister's insurance office in Ontario issuing permits. Did this while he was on VACATION!! Sheriff Palmer and the sheriffs and deputies of Oregon are pro-gun/pro-2A and also know how to raise some extra cash from the process. The best thing is they are 4 year permits.

How can we know the deputy will be in Ontario? And contact number in Ontario or Schedule of his next vacation? Thanks

Default You can get Oregon permit.

Oregon permit was painless, Sheriff Palmer from Grant county came to COW Palace gun show, I submitted paperwork, fees and he had a portbable fingerprint machine.

Got my permit about 2 weeks later.

There are are few sheriffs in Oregon who will issue to us.

To bad the sheriffs in Cali couldn't issue to residents of other counties.

Bet a few counties could fund their police departnments and significantly help their local economies with permits from SF bay and LA counties.
