Maybe the ammo I had wasn't that hot, but I was right next to someone shooting .40 and it was very close.

Mine was far more louder than a 38, for sure, but nowhere near the loudness of a 357.
I would say it didnt quit have the snap of a 9mm, so a 40 cal is about right(don't own one though).
I had the most fun shooting the aguila rounds thru it, with the little pop-pop it gives off. I still have to shoot it more, maybe next time along side my 38 and 45 for comparison.

When shooting the mags I attribute much of the sound and kick to the gun and not the cartridges. I would think most of the kick is due to the light weight of the little pistol....not the power of the 22WMR. Same with the loudness-mostly caused by such a large portion of the gas expansion occuring outside the barrel.

Does is sound noticably less loud when shooting the same 22mag's out of a pistol with a full size (6"+) barrel? I would assume a slight difference.

They are pretty inaccurate. About 50 or so yards out I had a 3-4 foot difference between highest and lowest. So whats that, 96MOA? Could be me though. Just the first handful of rounds. I bet I could shoot better if I tried.

But heck, I didn't by it for accuracy.

I say accurate enough for what it is. First 20 rounds 15 were on a man sized target at 25 yards unsupported. I was happy considering it has no rear sight and your basically eyeballing it down the length of an extremely short barrel.

I'm sure if I tried 20 rounds at 50 yards I'd still have a fresh unmarked target to check the groupings for my 10/22.

I got mine from a private dealer for $239 OTD. The 22lr barrel set me back another 69 after shipping.
