Everyone should own a 10/22 and a bunch of magazines and ammo for it.

I think you should. The 22 LR is the most versatile caliber and is considered the ultimate SHTF gun.

The largest price increase on ammo is for the 22 LR. This alone suggests that people are TERRIFIED of our government. It went from less than $0.04 per round to $0.30 per round which is what I'm seeing on-line in-stock today and people are buying. This excludes waiting in line at Walmart to get better pricing...most people have to work!

Ruger 10/22 and Marlin 795 are two very common excellent mag fed .22s.

I'm sure there are others, but these two seem the most popular.

Default Electronic filing....

This makes me wonder. If the $19 charge is to cover the "expense" of filing the registration paperwork;

1) If we have to pay them extra .... why do they draw a salary now? Are they paid per piece of paper?

2) Does it really cost $19 to file the form? Are the DOJ employees taking the forms, travelling to Mordor and then flinging them into Mount Doom? Or are they typing in your name and rifle serial number into a computer?
Probably when you go in to register them, they will key it into the computer database while you wait and take your money.

You have to have a 10-22, you just have too. Why? Because God wants you to have one. He does.

Screw ranges. Why support ranges with our financial business, when many range nazis act like jack azzes???? I say boycott nasty ranges and go shoot out in the desert. It's what I've been doing for 30 years now. Never once ran into anyone hassling me or my rifles. Just go far off the beaten path.

***No I'm not condoning the breaking of laws. However, I do condone a range boycott where employees of certain ranges seem to enjoy harassing law abiding gun owning patrons.

I own two .22 rifles and my 9 year old son owns a 10-22 as well as a S&W .22 revolver. I don't plan on registering any of my guns and I'll still continue to take my boy out shooting. I doubt Rangers are going to give us any grief over shooting a couple rabbits.

So buy a .22 and any other rifle you like, don't let them control your decisions with fear.

Let them pass the law, then they'll find out what's inside the can o' worms they just opened.

If the 10/22 and the 795 don't pass the "in common use" test, we are screwed.
