There is a H&R sportsman 999 at tacticool in santa maria. It is on consignment for 400 bucks. The price seems high to me but I have no idea what they go for. I have one thats been in the family for awhile and have no complaints. I pull the trigger and it goes bang.

Thanks ScramblerX!

That seems about $100-150 over what it's worth. Do you remember barrel length and/or how long it has been there?

Its been there for awhile, at least a couple weeks.
I think its a 5" but i'm not sure.
It is on consignment - maybe they would take less.

Thanks! I should be able go in later this week.

They wouldn't even tell me the price over the phone.

Hopefully it's an older one...I just a 65 year old Remington 22 rifle that could use another old coot to keep company. :-)

Hi Senorgrand,

Thought as a fellow Calgun mate you might want to see my S&W so I took a few for you. This pistol is in 22 mag 4" and I bought it new in the mid eighties for just under 200. new. That is a Bianchi #5BHL and it has been with me all this time too. In SS it is great to take during wet outdoors trips and coastal fishing/diving trips. Not one speck of rust and I have "rode" this plenty hard.

Yes, this is a hard hitter. Ain't no 45 (which I also have) but it fits special times. It has long been a favorite of mine and everyone in my household has shot it and is proficient in its use. Thought you could use an old guys point of view.

Man, that was 200 well spent! Great looking shooter. I just shot one very similar, which is why I'm looking for a rimfire wheelgun!

I like your avitar. Happen to have a Walther PPKS like your guy there. Very accurate shooter. The 380 is a good compact appendix carry pistol and fairly light wt. Glad you liked the 22 mag info.
I'll keep an eye out for a 22 mag like it up here in Norcal and let you know if I see one for sale. I have a friend with one like mine and I'll ask him if he wants to part with it. Good luck Calgunner.

Thanks!

It's funny-in the books, Bond carries a. 25. They reference it in the first 15min of Dr. No.

He's forced to upgrade to a 7.65! Flemming would have probably viewed a. 380 as a cowboy's gun.

How things have changed.
