Default CZ 455 with Tacticool stock, action screws?

Hello all,

Just got my 455 installed in the Boyd's Tacticool stock last night, and found that the J&P action screws I installed in my factory walnut stock is not long enough in the front.

For other owners of this combo, what action screws did you use? Or if anyone else can shed light on this I'd really appreciated...

Thanks!

I don't have that particular CZ but I had a similiar problem when putting my UltraLux in a Boyds Rimfire Thumbhole stock. I just called J&P and explained my problem and they sent me the correct screws.

I pulled the gun out of the safe just now and analyzed the problem a little more. Instead of messing with the bottom metal, the stock or the action, what I did was file a steeper bevel on the bottom side of the head of the front action screw, effectively allowing it to sink deeper into the bottom metal and the problem was solved... Amazing what a night sleep could do to clear your mind... It was frustrating me to no end last night.

Izzy, I will also email J&P and see if they already have a different screw for this application. Thanks much for the info!
