Default AK De-milling "Done"

I have one or two kits that I need demilled, CIV Tactical in Nor Cal offers this service but I want to find someone local. I'm in SD and in SGV on my days off.

Someone helped me out this weekend,

Do you really want to de-mill them? There are plenty of people out there who already own de-milled kits that are willing to trade...

Is there a special reason for this? I have a hard time destroying any firearm... So, just asking...

These are only kits that need to be prepped to build a complete firearm; they are not firearms in their current state.

De milling is pretty simple if you have a dremel and a drill. If you don't and want to come to the SFV, I'll take care of it for you.

No, "de-mill". Before AK's/parts kits are imported to the US the have to no longer be a firearm; this is accomplished buy cutting the receiver into three parts (usually with a torch). The receivers are usually made of sheet metal and the front and rear trunion as well as the trigger guard are riveted to the receiver. Much more labor intensive than building an AR.

So when we say "demill" we are referring to removing the old rivets which can be a pain in the butt.
