Donated some money a couple of weeks ago. Gonna do some more next week.

I know ammo is hard to come by now. If we don't donate to whomever we choose ammo will be almost impossible to get. Donate what you can when you can. Every little bit counts.

Who should I contact for a credit card issue? I used the incorrect credit card to sign up for a reoccurring donation.

Edit:
Thanks! Problem solved.

what perks? who did you donate to? CGF or CGN? CGF and CGN are different entities and a donation to CGF does not get you CGN Contributor status.

These perks,
Contributors receive the following:

1. Unlimited PMs. Never delete anything again.
2. Access to the Contributor's Lounge, a private place to discuss issues that are not indexed by search engines.
3. A cool new color for your username, recognition in your user title as a CGN/CGSSA Contributor and the ability to choose custom user titles.

I donated to both

Organizations, Associations -$25.00
04/13/2013
Miscellaneous and Specialty Retail Stores -$29.00

ok, then you need to ask CGN why they haven't upgraded your CGN account yet. This thread is about CGF donations, and those donations to CGF do not get you the CGN/CGSSA perks.

I'd suggest PM'ing a mod, perhaps Kestryll, and ask them why you haven't been upgraded yet.

Is there any progress in getting recurring donations to work correctly? Twice now I have attempted to setup a recurring donation, and received a receipt for a recurring donation, only to have it never repeat.

I've also tried emailing to donations@calgunsfoundation.org but never a reply.

This has got to be frustrating to people trying to contribute.

I keep getting this response when visiting "https://www.calgunsfoundation.org/donate/"

"Oops! We could not locate your form."

I'd like to set up a recurring donation but it seems the site is broken at the moment.

I was going to sell some ammo (non reloads) in the Private Ammo Sales section, but I also want to donate the proceeds of one of the batches to CGF. How do I do that?

Calguns Shooting Sports Association
"This recipient is currently unable to receive money." when click donate to cgssa

Maybe that isnt cgn or cgf, related.
My 25$ smackers seemed to make it through as I got a nice email.
which leads me to check the main page to see exactly what that is (I disappear from calguns or forget there is a rights war going on). So here it is the day before, no new letters, written. Seems like it's a monday morning call session tomorrow. I did see on my local legislation channel here 92.1 people making their brief opposition to bills before a small panel. Hope these donations get a cgf man/woman in a suit up there making their "brief opposition" to the bills at committee levels...

drutledge79 maybe you got a scripts blocker doing something.

Tried to make a $250 donation, but after two attempts and getting invalid cred card information, I gave up. I know the card is good, and I entered the information correctly, and there is plenty to cover that amount.

Do me a favor and send me a PM with some basic info (please omit CC info) and I'll see if I can get you sorted out. CGF is a pretty lean operation. Sometimes things go screwy and we don't notice them immediately.

The same goes for anyone else having issues.

Thanks,

Thank you for your support. Truly, it's appreciated. I know that I, and the other Directors can't say it enough.

Also, please keep in mind that you can contribute to the Cause by shopping through shop42a.com at Amazon.com.

Again, thank you.

I tried to make a donation but the website kept giving me an error message about an invalid credit card number.

I'll just mail you a check but someone should investigate.

Thanks

Is there a difference between CGF and calguns.net? I placed donation for a one year membership to CGF almost 2 weeks ago, got a receipt and everything, yet I do not have access to the contributors area or have a cool CGN Contributor tag...

Thanks

Yes - CGF and CGN are two totally different organizations. A CGF donation will not get you contributor status but will be used to protect and advance the 2A in CA.

hey. should i be donating to madera or san Carlos? i was sending to san carlos in the past, 2011, and the checks were not being deposited. then i was told to send to madera and now, again, they are not being deposited in 3-4 months. so see san carlos is now the updated address (3/13). Will this address be reliable? or are my checking going to zombieland? I send 20 per month.

I'm a new member, but being very pleased with what I've seen here, just made my annual membership donation today and a separate one to CGF too. Please continue to keep up the good work by providing us with a voice and a great place for info and discussion!

Whats the minimum amount that can be donated to CGF and CGN? I feel bad because I dont have the time to help and havent had much $ to donate, but Im assuming any $ is better than nothing. Until I can afford to donate more?

Is $20 to each CGF and CGN to little?

There is no such thing as too little. $20 is perfectly fine! Less than that and you may want to save up just to make your life easier.

Not sure about the check thing, but the donate link on CGF allows you to use your credit card. I don't see a PayPal link.

We're implementing a form for PayPal donations, should be up within about 48 hours at https://www.calgunsfoundation.org/donate/paypal.

Sorry for the delays as we're working out some admin kinks. Growing pains hurt but I'm looking forward to a smoother-running back office very soon.

I'll quote from the FPC FAQ:

Quote:
Why does/would FPC and its pro-gun rights organizations accept PayPal?

We know from experience that our supporters are at least equally likely to have and use Paypal as a credit card.

Sometimes we hear people question the use of Paypal by pro-gun rights organizations. Ultimately, it is better for our cause to receive $97 pro-gun rights dollars in a $100 contribution through a payment platform that may not agree with us than not offer one of the world’s most popular payment systems and miss the opportunity to advance our civil rights by leaving $97 on the table.

Those who don’t want to use Paypal can always use their credit card securely at FPC by simply clicking the credit card payment button; we do not store your credit card information.

Howdy all,

New member to the forum here and I wanted to contribute to GCN but the shop42A.com link at Amazon results in nothing but a generic Amazon.com page. Something I'm missing here?

Nope. Just get to Amazon through http://Shop42a.com and every item you buy in that cookie's session is credited to our program.

Brandon,

Sounds good. Thank you for the clarification.

(Edit: used the link "Donate to CGSSA" in the forum page header and donated via PayPal).

(Edit the 2nd: Donated twice, once to "Donate to CGSSA" and once to "BECOME A CGN/CGSSA CONTRIBUTOR!" and while I'm not entirely clear on the difference/purpose between the two, hopefully it goes into the same kitty for you folks here. Thanks for the great community.
