I am amazed by what I see lotsa' folks calling "finger out of trigger guard". A lot of competitors just pull it out a bit and hover it kinda crooked just outside the trigger guard. I hate seeing that, makes my job harder AND does not satisfy the requirement properly from a complete safety perspective IMHO. A gun will only go off if the trigger is actuated, if your finger is anywhere near being able to be accidentally pushed back onto the trigger by inadvertent activity, then you are in danger of an AD if something unexpected happens. I firmly believe your finger has no business being in the trigger guard unless you are actually indexed on an array of targets. Rules say you can move 1.5 steps without taking finger off the trigger, I feel better myself when I pop my finger out and snap it to the frame above trigger guard whenever I am putting myself onto a new target array or port, etc... Shooting on the move is another story, but this is where the 1.5 steps rule comes into play. |

Even though Glocks are smart guns, don't let it tell you when to reload. Slide locked is always bad (except well in IDPA where they have the weird rule about it). I used to post videos of me and my crew from Norco Running Gun every week or so, but there just isn't that much interest. Competitive shooters are a very, very small fraction of the overall gun population. Last edited by HighLander51; 01-29-2013 at 4:14 PM.. |

It was a jam, I think that I accidentally put 11 in a mag. I have one mag that fits 11 fairly easily, doesn't work but if you're not counting ![]() i used to live in NORCO! I wish I could've been in your crew

Thanks dude.
The go pro definitely helps engage the viewer the only problem is they're kind of a dime a dozen right now, especially with action sports. I had a video up a little while back and they're happened to be a few people filming me during a stage and they were kind enough to send me the footage, I managed to piece together three different cameras fluidly for one stage it looked very smooth. I'd like to start recording other awesome shooters in the area and cut them together some reels. Not a big fan of being the center of attention or acting like some fn rockstar.

Post videos with useful info please.
The date of the shoot, What range/club and where its located. How about the make model of the gun and the ammo being used. When I see a nice gun or a cool range I like to know more about them. Videos without that info seems missing a lot of info that useful. |

Those particular vids are not meant to inform but entertain.
I have others that are meant to inform and not necessarily entertain. I'm not going to show a match video and spend time on the equipment and the location where people basically turn off the vid in 30 seconds or less. I had about 5 of those on my channel and it took over a year for all of them to get to 100 views and the audience retention was terrible. So the information wasn't getting out there regardless. So I usually put equipment breakdowns in the video description and I don't bother with the location because no one needs to know where I am. Quote:

Here is my video from this weekend in Richmond. This was my first match ever. Only goal for the event was to not get a DQ. So with that not happening all in all for my first match I did ok. Sorry don't know how to embed the video into the post.

Me shooting Pala Steel 3/30/13. Single Stack. I did come really close to breaking the 180 (now I'm paranoid about it).
