Bought the 20" Police in Galveston, TX for $216 out the door. (and literally walked out the door, yes it was glorious). Just got it back from Bolsa, had them cut the barrel to 18.5".

GG&G qd sling adapter (for Troy single point)
GG&G billet follower
Mesa clamp
Mesa 6-shell
Surefire 951
Remington blued +2

I seriously love this shotgun.

Back full circle after playing around with a half dozen setups and stock combos.
Now with the police issued wood stock.

100% factory original parts except for Wilson Combat spring and follower.

Excuse the crappy phone pic. Just got a 4x25 illuminated ret. scope for free tonight and decided to throw it on the 930.

Cheers

Thought I'd see what the Eotech looked like on the shotty.
A little clunky, but we'll see how it fares at the range this weekend.

Attachment 219692

Anyone else use one of these on their HD shotgun? Not really going to use it for more than range shooting. Thought it might make it a little more interesting shooting on the longer ranges with slugs.

Saw the previous guys post with a scope and I might try that too.

Any ideas of a choke that increases long distance accuracy with slugs?

You have a red dot, I have a scope.

In all honesty, I don't expect the scope to withstand slugs for too long. I have it on there because my friend gave it to me as a joke.

I can see how setting a red dot up for 'distance slug shooting' can be beneficial, but in all honesty, you aren't going to get repeatable results at variable distances unless you are a master.

Just concentrate on up-close and personal slugging

Cheers,

HT

Yeah, just looking for something to spice up the range trips. Wish I had some land to shoot on and have a little more fun.
Was spoiled as a kid where I grew up. Had thousands of acres out the back door that no one cared about you shooting on (just stay away from the active pasture areas and the farmers didn't care). That was a looooong time ago though

Went out to the back yard to shoot some clays on Sunday with the wife. I think my Mossberg may be a wee bit to big for her Her 870 Express fits just right.

Starting with deer, then coyotes, and working my way up to prairie dogs.

Also going to shoot some matches with it.

Heres my 1986 870 police magnum 870 with Wilson Combat over size safety the barrel is a factory parkerized 18.5" With XS rifle sights, these are the fastest sights on the market. The Stock is the Remington LE 13" LOP with R3 pad. The forend is the Speed Feed LE. I have installed the Wilson Combat 2 shot extension, this is the universal model without sling plate as I have installed a Mesa single point slotted atachment on the receiver. Awesome weapon never fails to go boom .

Well, it took five years with lots of interruptions in between but finally got her done... at least 98% done. May spring for an over-sized safety. Other than that, I'm keeping her simple and a sleeper.

One 870 with a Spec Op recoil reducing stock, Hogue soft fore end and 20 inch cylinder bore barrel with factory sights.
The shoulder bag has about 75 rounds of slug, buck shot and the Cold Steel Bushman folder. I've got similar bags each with a different heavy duty folder set up in 9mm, 45 ACP, 308 and 270.
