Default Just Canceled a CCW Appt for the 21st

Was due to go in day after tomorrow at 8:45 am, had to cancel mainly because we'd need to buy another pistol, which we can't seem to find at the moment without paying double the MSRP. Everybody is gouging, and it's cost me my CCW

I had no choice but to wait for my tax return to get a good carry gun, and by that time the scare was in full swing, and I couldn't find anything (unless I wanted to pay 7 or $800 for a used LC9). Still can't. Not without breaking the bank enough to not be able to afford the classes and ammo and fee's for the CCW anyway, so no point. Might as well wait another year myself, and at least let the wife get hers. Hopefully it's still a "shall-issue" county by the time I'm able to get mine...

ANYWAYS

Just venting! LOL. Wanted to let some Calgunners know that there is an open appointment in Sacramento County!

Ouch, that's a LOOONG wait to get to back of the line. You could have taken the class anyways, and add the new gun later on... at least that option might have been available... good luck!

You should have go to the appointment and start the process anyways. You don't have to make a choice until you are in the CCW class and qualify for it. You should have at least a month to decide or buy what you need before you make that choice. Plus like Loopwell said, you can add the new guns later on.

Check out armslist. I looked around for about a week or so, I found an LC9 w/ lasermax, 4 mags and 75 rounds of ammo for $400. A buddy got a LC9 w/ Lasermax, 8 mags and 100 rounds for $700

Default Add later

I am in El Dorado county and our Sheriff is great, he gets it
I added a couple of handguns to my ccw after the fact and it was quick and easy, you should go and get your ccw and then modify it later, sure beats waiting, and who know what unconstitutional "executive order" may be in place when you are ready
My .02 cents
Or Move to El Dorado County and no worries

Yes go to appointment and get the card, i'm thinking you can have the one gun on both of your permits... if not get the card without a gun if they will do it. I know in redding it's $10 to add a gun

Take thur off and camp out at the sportsman warehouse, should be able to get a handgun for regular prices. I'm in redding and it's on wed when the shipment comes in but i understand thew rocklin store puts it all out shelfs on wed night and it's get it on thur.
