Default CA legal Mini 14 with factory folding stock

Took 4 months to put this together and wasn't 100% sure if I could make it CA legal. In the end, with the stock folded the overall length is 30.5 inches. Just made it. It has a 10/30 round magazine and a bullet button. I will have to modify the bullet button a little, the screw is too short to fit secure.

If that's a 30 or 40 round magazine, it's a U-RAW, obviously, you took that picture while in Nevada.

I know...but I was sitting on that stock for a while and since it's good old California...no choice. I really should move.

It's a 30 round magazine with a block in it and the spring cut down. So it only holds 10 rounds, hence 10/30 round magazine.

I can't believe you neutered a mini 14 for a folding stock. What's the length of that thing with the stock open?

Being featureless is the best part of my mini.

To be honest I didn't care, I can always go back to the original configuration if I wanted to. It's not like I had to cut the gun up to make it CA legal. I have 40 guns, I just have fun building them the way I want.
