Default Perris Steele Peak

If everyone pickup a trash bag and spent 10 minutes in your group, the range can look like this all over 10x! I also got help from the dog too!

Perris was nice today.....

I live in Moreno Valley and will be using this blm site so I will do my part and the part of others that dont feel the need to clean up. Its a shame that people cant even pick up the empty ammo boxes they leave behind. Try doing that at a private gun club and you wont be a member for long.Maybe thats why Maywood is so strict in letting people in there club

It's a great spot, but if you go at the wrong times there can be some really sketchy people there. Nice clean-up job, the last time I drove through the entrance looked like a dump.

I live in Perris, but I haven't been there yet. When are the good times to go? I haven't checked it out because I assume that on the weekends it's probably sketchy and I work during the week.

I'm down for a weekend cleanup day.

I think early in the am on the weekend, and I would drive around the mountain and shoot on the back side (you will want a vehicle with good clearance). I've been trying to find a spot to stretch the legs on my bolt guns.

just came from there today i went early in the morning and me and my uncle had it all to our selves for about 4 hours then a couple of people showed usp. as a matter of fact theres a lady out there that goes with her daughter to pick up the used brass to recycle it and she was raking up the shot gun shells. i picked up shot gun shells yesterday and showed up today in the morning there must of been 300 shells just laying there.the sign clearly states please pick up after your selves or they will shut down the site.I dont know why people cant pick up after them selves. If anyone does decide to go please make sure to take a rake and large garbage bag as part of your equipment on the outing you will need it

Did you shoot at the entrance or drive around to the back of the mountain/hill. Seems like there are some great spots around back. I am really trying to find about 500 yards to stretch my rifles legs but it seems like there are trails everywhere.

I remember the Perris guys asking to not post directions as the range is currently being abused. Rather directions should be pm. Also, everyone claims they clean up but we know that's a pipe dream. I know someone was kind enought to send me directions and as you all can see, I take pride in my hobby therefore I clean up and try to perform my civic duty.

Posting stuff like this will get you banned, so knock it off. You might want to read the rules.

Hey guys, i dont mean to start an issue or flame war or anything like that, I am a relatively young shooter and new calgunner, however i am an avid outdoors lover and user as well as protector, you might have a stigma against my history with airsoft, but we get to use blm land too, and we do our very best to cleanup and maintain the beautiful land this state has to offer, we don't use anything unless we cleanup after. I also understand the necessity of keeping things private, a few of my favorite AS sites have been shutdown to misuse and garbage, i would never be one to contribute to that, that's why we use BIO bb's without exception! I say young shooter because I don't have much experience shooting firearms but am planning changing that responsibly and legally.

Hey everyone I forgot to mention, some of you might know others maybe not so just wanted to put this out again. Please be careful not to shoot at the first opening to the right, you have to go up the little hill. By law that little opening is to close to the road and the rangers/Leo can depending how they feel issue you Hefty citation. I don't want anyone having to pay for a ticket that could go to ammo. So just wanted to give a quick heads up

Is it 100, 150 or 250 yards from any road way? Can't remember! Play it safe and round up to 500 yards.

I was told it was 150 yards but the pc for it is kinda vague. I play it safe and don't test the law

You can shoot up to 200 yds there but into a hill side. Your zero will be off. You can get it lined up as far as windage goes but the elevation will be off when you go to shoot on flat land.

I have taken new rifles out there to get the windage on and then to a proper 100 yd line to dial in elevation.
