Default Special edition 10/22 value.

Anyone have any idea of what a Special edition 10/22 might be worth? It has a gray laminated sporter stock; the type without a barrel band. The metal finish is black and it has the hi-vis sights and swivels.

For me $200 because after all it is a Ruger 10/22, a rifle that's meant to be shoot hundreds and thousands of rounds.

Okay...

Maybe just a little more than a standard 10/22, simply for style points.

Unfortunately at today's panic, it basically goes for whatever you want.

A friend of mine bid on a takedown model and "won" it at $500.

Here's a similar one: http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/D...sit=&pid=&inv=

But as Lead Waster said, in todays market you could get a premium on it ay the right place and right time. Imho, Turners has the standard synthetic model for $219 right now, that's about as much I'd pay for any 10/22 excluding the takedown which I want.

Style points is subjective. It doesn't make the gun more accurate or make the trigger better. To get more money you will have to find people who are willing to pay for the cosmetics. Everyone wants their 10/22 to fit their own flavor thus there are so many 10/22 stocks.

You can always ask for $300 in the market place and maybe somebody will be looking for that exact or similar style.
