Default Scout rifle scope

I have an SKS that I'm thinking of making a scout rifle out of, I'm thinking of putting a Tapco 6 position telescoping stock and mounting a scope forword of the receiver.

I've been hearing the term long eye relief scope but don't know the difference between a long eye relief scope and any other scope. Hopefully someone else does and can explain it to me.

Also if someone might have a recommendation for a specific long eye releif scope in the $100 range.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No scope advice for the $100 range

If it is a play rifle, maybe a primary arms micro dot

You might also trigger 922r with an SKS if you add a pistol grip and collapsible stock.

Handgun scopes have LER (long eye relief) and are commonly used as "scout scopes". Pistol Scopes If you read the reviews you'll find many buyers are using them for scout rifles.

There are scopes specifically designed for scout set-ups, but I don't think there are very many quality options in the $100 range.
