Default Citadel M1 Carbine?

This is a pretty cool looking gun, I was gonna convert a standard 10/22 into an M1 but looks like citadel can save me some $$

Anyone have one of these with 5000rds downrange?
Accuracy compared to a stock 10/22?
How are the sights?
Is there any plastic cheep parts like on some of the GSG guns?
How does the stock feel??
Anything else I should know??

Thanks guys!

I have read negative things about it, but I have no actual experience with it. Maybe a search would help.

Found this review. Not good reviews, everyone suggesting to mod the 10/22 instead.

I would shoot a PM to ojisan, he's got lot's of experience with 10/22's and I was talking to him at one time and I think he was working on a kit to convert 10/22's to M1's.

Mostly bad reviews on that rifle. Plastic rear sight that warps and moves, jams, failures to extract. Most of the first run of these had to go back for fixes. One fix I think was a rechamber on a lot of them. Neat looking rifle, I wanted one until I read all the issues that folks had. Too bad, I used a real one in Vietnam (although I prefered the BAR) so has some nostalgic value for me but too many issues to purchase.

I had one for two days, and sold it. Stick with the 10/22
or a colt m4 uramex
or m&p 15/22

M1 Carbine 10/22 Kit

I've been wanting to do one of these for a few years now, but I keep getting distracted with other guns.

The citadel M1/22's were recalled I'm not to sure of the reasoning behind the recall but I do know the one we got at our store was missing its rear peep sight.

Thanks for the link, they have a cool collapsible stock I think I am going to put on one of my 10/22's.
