Default My wife's new present

Got tired of waiting on our back-ordered GP100 and took my wife down to see what was left at Turner's Signal Hill. She fell in love with an S&W M60 .357, so we bought it! She's so excited and counting the days to take to the range. Her first gun and she's so happy to know that she'll have a HD firearm. Felt really good taking care of her.

Nice, congrats. I also bought my wife a Model 60 and she loves it. I bought her a bunch of boxes of wad cutters for her to shoot and get used to the recoil. They are really soft shooting, but accurate rounds. I recommend doing the same if your wife is a new shooter so the gun doesn't scare her off.

For my wife, I'll slowly introduce some regular pressure .38 special, then maybe some +P, and someday may surprise her with a .357 mag thrown in the chamber to see how she handles it!

My wife loves her S&W 686+ with a 6" barrel. Has no recoil and she's deadly accurate. Congrats OP

My wife nearly cried when I took her to an airsoft store. Slowly she became open to taking classes and going to the range. We haven't done either yet but at least she's open to it.

i got my wife a cobra derringer, and she couldn't pull the trigger on it,
on top of that she doesn't like guns, i ended up getting her a pink taser.

I bought my SO a S&W model 60LS (Lady Smith) last summer and she really likes it. She's now up to shooting +P but doesn't care to shoot .357.

I recently sold my 686 (it went to my brother) and now my wife said she would like to try something more than a .22. I think we may be interested in a model 60. Can any of you possibly tell me how much of a differance the recoil would be (between 686 4" and 60 3"). My 686 was soft & smooooth with the 38's.

Model 60 is going to have some kick compared to a 686. If its a range toy and home defense gun, go with the 686 all the way. For concealed carry, get her the 60.

I love shooting my wife's 60, but that's compared to my 442 Airweight!

Thanks....There is a big differance in weight, so I'm sure there would be a differance in felt recoil. Just trying to gauge how much, if possible.
