Default G19 FDE Gen4! UPDATE with range report

Finally picked up my gun tonight from Pleasant Arms. Peter is a stand up guy by the way.

Was lucky enough to pick this up from onother fellow CG'er. Came with the 3 factory rebuild kits. This thing is brand mew and was never fired outside of the factory. This thing feels good in my hand with no backstrap added. Can't wait to get her out to the range.!!!

Congrats man! I got a Gen 4 17 FDE a few months ago and love it. I too agree they feel great with no backstraps. Looking forward to a range report!

They are not on the roster. However, you can still get one through private party transfer or single shot exemption.

it is just so funny how the fde was ignored for so long. the gen 3 fde were selling for less than $450 in the for sale section and nobody wanted it until they stopped making it.

I think you're thinking of the OD versions. The FDE frames have seemed to be popular since they were released last year.

Sorry no they don't. This was actually in holding at the FFL waiting for the person I bought it from to be able to start DROS. He was waiting on his 30 days to be up. I was able to purchase it from the seller new. Peter over at MParms is just a home based FFL.

Thanks but no thanks on the offer. This little beauty isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Lol

Finally took the new G19 out to the range today after about a long month wait. Work and vacation hadn't had time, anywho.

Loaded up 2 10rd mags and all my stuff and went to the outdoor range in concord. Ran a lightly oiled patch to remove any debris, crap and crud that was in the barrel, then ran a dry patch to soak up any excess cleaning oil. Didn't detail clean the gun prior to range, used the factory copper grease. Did a bit of dry firing while I wanted for the cease fire. Man this thing felt good. I like the trigger feel and reset is pretty nice, compared to my G17.

Shot a total of 70rds, all I brought, and had no issues what so ever with FTE or FTF. I was using 115g reloads that I purchased from ammodepot. I did receive one BTF and one spent casing that landed on my bicep. All mags that I ran through her held the slide open. Other then that no issues. She ran beautifully!!!

I did notice that I shot the 19 BETTER then my G3 G17. Not sure why might be partly due to the new texturing and slightly diffrent grip angle (no back strap) but just a notable diffrence. I even shot the 17 after to see if I could group as good and I couldn't. Just want to let every one know I am on no way a professional or even a bullseye shooter just your average joe.

Anyways sorry for the crappy report, first ever. Overall like the feel and how she shoots. I would recomend a gen4 G19 to anyone who is thinking about one. Here's some more pics.

You want to check your ejector to see if you have an old 336 or new 30274. 2 BTF in 70 rounds doesn't sound too good to me.

i think the old style ejector was straight. I could be wrong. Test casings say 8-8-12. Fairly new production date. Here's my ejector

That's the extractor, the ejector is inside the frame and can be removed. I just looked at mine and found out why I have been getting stovepipes, I have the 336 so now I have to find a local Glocksmith or send it back
