Default Crowds at ranges - Burro Canyon

With the panic buying a "limited supply" of ammo, I was wondering if the crowds are a bit thinner at Burro Canyon or perhaps with many more newbies buying firearms, is it more crowded?

Would love to hear recent reports.

It's been pretty crowded most days I've been there.

Lots of people on the rifle range. Usually have to wait for a spot if you show up around noon.

Both during the week and Saturdays.

I'm goin' to the desert for at least a year. Two hours in any number of directions.
I usually put on "Lawrence of Arabia" to get pumped up.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm planning on going Sat to take the wife cuz that's the only day we can get a sitter. I don't like going weekends but don't have much of a choice.

I was there today from 10am-noon. About a dozen people on the rifle range. The RO kept things moving without hassles. Several others at the surrounding ranges. A no stress day - if only I could have shot better...

I was there yesterday on the pistol side around noon and it was pretty dead. Never more than 5 people on the pistol side the whole time we were there. Didn't look too much busier on the rifle side either. I was suprised.

If your going to Burro on the weekend try going after 12pm. Usually by then most of the people that got there in the morning will be leaving.

I go out every other Friday (going tomorrow), Friday mornings spots on the rifle range can be tight, but by 11ish things thin out and you can normally shoot with empty benches on both sides.
I think all the people who panic bought rifles have already used up their ammo and things should be getting back to normal

Sounds like its not too bad. I'm still planning on Sat. I need to zero the red dot on the Socom II and let the wife shoot the M1 Carbine. Turners had ammo today.

I would consider getting a private range. I go every three months usually the weekend after a Gun Show. I show up for the private range and before I leave I reserve another private 3 months in advance. Its like $6 more per person and you need at leat 4 people but it beats waiting for a spot to open or being around a bunch goofballs.

I went out there yesterday (Monday). It was empty on the rifle range. Maybe a total of 10 shooters. It was weird, I'm used to everyone shooting ARs there but there was nothing but bolt guns. I was the only one with a semi auto.

Couple week ago I was at Insight in Cerritos on a Sunday afternoon. Place was PACKED with people! 30 minute wait time on a lane.
