Very worth it.

If you want it get it. My buddy's works fine, but to me it feels cheap.

Just my opinion though

Just picked mine up today and put about 110rds through it.
Worked just fine no issues. Pretty neat little gun.

Here's a lengthy review with lots of other posts linked to it.
http://www.ar15.com/mobile/topic.html?b=6&f=11&t=352630

I did a lot of research (including Casper's review) on this gun and didn't find any negative reviews. Everyone seems to really like it and says it eats just about any type of ammo. Of course, there are plenty of other people that don't like it because it's: not the real thing, think Umarex = airsoft, don't like tactical .22s, confuse it with the GSG version, etc.

I was looking for something fun to shoot at a 25 yard indoor range and always liked the MP5s, so I picked one up and it gets out of jail tonight.

Get it before politicians figure out how to ban it because it "looks scary."

I'm surprised you found it in stock somewhere.

Yeah, I'll admit to as a partial panic buy and that's how I sold it to my wife.

I looked around for it at Turner's and they were out of stock. I didn't see any at Big 5, but the some helpful Calgunners said to make sure to ask them about it. Their new store policy is not to display any "scary" guns but they do have some in the back.

Have you considered Umarex UZI?

There's a review in the Feb 2013 Gun World.

From the pics and review, this is the one to get.

The UZI looks cool but why is it more expensive then the 416 and Mp5? It seems like it should be cheaper because of less material used... Just an observation.

Turners in Orange, Orange County had the Mp5 in stock as of Saturday.

How much are the Umarex MP5 in turners? I don't have them in my LGS but, there's one that I know where they are selling it for $475, is that a good price?

I didn't ask them as I was looking for the HK 416 22lr and the guy over the phone told me he had a few Mp5s during our conversation.

I would say $475 is a decent price as Riflegear had the SD version for $525.

The only thing negative I have seen so far was about the trigger. Too far of a pull. Can someone confirm or disprove? How is the trigger feel?

It is a long trigger poll and a little stiff before the hammer falls. However I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker though as I was still able to get rounds down range at a decent pace.
I don't know how difficult it would be to modify.

It's kind of off track a little but does anyone think there will be a conversion for the new 17 super mag? It hasn't yet been released but looks to be an awesome round and would be sweet in the MP5SD.
