Never owned a Glock before (avoided the cool aid) and was wondering if this is typical or does this unit have a problem?

Same here. I have a G19 Gen 4 and did the same thing. However, it only does that with 115 grain rounds. I shot 124 grain and it ejected the casings perfectly towards my 4 0'clock.

Default Ejector not straight... normal?

Thanks for all of the input guys!

I did notice that after pulling the slide off and looking straight down at the (trigger housing) ejector it is not straight it points to starboard maybe 2-4 degrees (right with barrel pointed foward). Is that normal?

I am referring to this part

I will keep you posted on my findings/ results... no shooting this weekend ... Crabbing in Tomales Bay !!!

Your gun is angry with you. It needs a vacation.
