It just cost me $31.00 to make 100 rounds of .223

Hornady Z-Max 60 grain with Wolf Primers and Varget powder.

reloading does not save money, add up the equipment cost, powder, brass, primers, and LABOR, = pretty close costs. Write up a spread sheet of it all, unless you shoot 2-5,000 rounds a month, ask yourself if it is really worth it.

Plus: as the industry prices go up, not only manufactured ammo prices go up- powder, primers, bullets, brass also goes up. NOT just the completed ammo you buy at stores.

I have some experience loading, correct me if I have said something incorrect.

I don't think people are worried about ammo going away. It's more about new laws which may increase taxes on ammunition, and, or taking away the ability to purchase over the internet. I heard today some politician in Berkeley proposing a wait time on ammo purchases

Default Wlamart (love it or hate it...)

I stop by the Wal-mart in Roseville every morning on the way to work looking for 223. Got lucky this morning they had Federal FMJ 55 grain $35/100. I got the only box left, but there was another brand that they had like 10 boxes of $7.95/20.

At least they haven't raised their prices, yet. Now I have at least enough to break-in my barrel when I finish my featureless build. Hopefully, by the time I finish the 3 other builds (for my sons) all this will have blown over.
