Need to make some extra cash for a while and I am looking for anyone who knows someone needing off duty cops. I have had U.S. State Department Diplomat Protection training as well as 10 years as an LEO. Shoot me a PM if anyone knows anything.

I don't have a line on any work for you, but start checking with "dignitary" and "VIP" protection companies, especially around the Los Angeles/Hollywood area. THey love hiring off duty LEO's. Most of them pay pretty good from what I understand.

If you are interested, I have a friend who supplies police vehicles as well as police actors to the movie industry. Most of the people he uses are current/retired LE. Let me know. Pay is usually on the scale you are looking for.

For your information: If you are a full time sworn law enforcement officer, you can qualifiy for a guard card by just filling out the application, and sending it, a copy of LE ID and a check to BSIS. You may start working as soon as the letter is in the mail.
For a gun card the rules are the same, fill out the application, write a check for the correct amount, a copy of your ID, and mail it to BSIS. Again, you may start working armed as soon as the application is mailed. Any questions, go to BSIS website (under Consumer Affairs) and look at the LE question and answers. |

I have returned PM's, sorry for the delay, was not notified of waiting messages. As far as I know, from what I have seen, 99% of the time you get paid when the job is completed as far as side work for my friend and his movie stuff. If you have your own uniforms it sometimes pays more. If I can be of further help feel free to message me.
