I stripped mine down then a soak in some M-Pro7, qtips, toothbrush, wiped it all down, EWL and some grease. My OCD self thanked me, my normal self said that I could've blasted it clean with WD40, wiped it off and a quick grease/oil and spent the next hour watching hoarders.
Mine was oily but not greasy.
Great pistol- got a grip sleeve and it fits nice.
The IRS sent my tax forms back! AGAIN!
I guess it was because of my response to the question: “List all dependents?”

I answered -

"12 million illegal immigrants; 3 million crack heads; 42 million unemployable people on food stamps; 2 million people in over 243 prisons; Half of Mexico and 535 fools in the U.S. House and Senate.”

I replied “What... am I missing someone”?

I don't know about that pistol specifically, but I've never cleaned a new firearm before shooting it. Just a quick inpspection and then rock 'n' roll. Exception for C&R firearms obviously. YMMV.
I am a law enforcement officer in the state of Colorado. Nothing I post is legal advice of any kind.
