Default Trying to find a specific AR 15 upper...need help

Hi guys, a while back i was in turners and i was shown a very nice, light AR 15. It looks very close to this..

http://www.cabelas.com/15-cmmg-varmint-15-upper.shtml

From what i remember it was super light and i believe it had a light foam surrounding the upper...or it could of been the foam on the stock i can't quite remember.

If anyone knows if the upper i have listed is super light then thats probably the one, if not any other ideas or suggestions on what i might be talking about would be much appreciated.

Cheers guys, stay safe.

I can guarantee you that varminter isn't what you're looking for. That's a start, no?

Yes that is a start thank you, also in your opinion why wouldn't it be the varmint, is it due to the weight?

Yes. Varmint barrels tend to be a heavier profile and sometimes longer than the standard 20" rifle. This does not make for a particularly lightweight gun.

Sounds like it had an overmolded handguard. I think Hogue as well as others make them.

And could the stock you were talking about be the ace m4?

http://riflestocks.com/store/product99.html

That plus a pencil barrel 14.5" or 16" upper with the overmolded freefloat tubes or a lightweight modular rail like the samson or the troy would make for a pretty slick lightweight setup.
