hey guys im looking for a 5rd fixed mag for hunting. any ideas whee to finf one??????

is it legal to have a 5rd detachable mag for hunting i thought it had to be fixed.

i think he means those chinese ones that sit flush

i had a couple but i sold them on ebay for like $40 i had no idea there is such a demand for those little suckers

cant have detachables on an sks

but a yugo 59 and 59/66 are not technically an sks

Detachable mag on an SKS... Technically because a Yugo is not an SKS a detachable should be lawful but who wants to be a test case for that?

you can make it fixed by drilling a little hole above the catch area of the plastic and puting in a crosspin for the front of the trigger group to hold onto it

but i wouldnt use a promag unless i owned a hi power and it was the last mag on earth only just to be able to shoot it single shot

i think im going to buy a normal sks fixed mag and pin it and just use that cause they are cheap.

you should check how the canadians block them they have 2 ways

I am pretty sure there is no 5 round limit in Calif. for hunting.

There is not. You can use 100 round drums if you have them. The only hunts that require limited magazines are typically upland game or migratory birds, when hunted with shotguns. In which case you are limited to no more than 3 shells total fitting in the shotgun.

oh i was told there was huh, well alrighty then. I plan on hunting idaho this year but for cali i was told 5rds only
