Default What is the value of CRPA? Can someone explain it to me?

When 3% goes to shooting programs and over 50% goes to paying for its executive and management staff, why would anyone want to contribute to this organization? Genuine question. I'm not a member.
Yup, big change. Taking a break from work and headed to the Police Academy...

You would be surprised where money goes in many organizations like this. Unfortunatly, it's too big to be an all volunteer group.

I find the question to be interesting and it might be worth explaining to we who have some interest in joining.

Just what do the dues do? I personally have never seen anyone presenting as a part of CRPA and engaged in an official capacity - actually doing something. That may mean I'm just not in the right place at the right time. . .

So what does the money do?

50% to staff may or may not bother me. It depends on what the staff and management are actually doing. It would also be interesting to know if a doubling in membership (and dues) would result in a doubling of personnel costs or if the CRPA is stuck at the point where they have to have a certain amount of staff as a fixed cost and increased membership would result in a decreased percentage of dues going to personnel costs.
