Default My new FS2000 **GUN IS NOW SOLD**

Had to hop on those FN rebates so I ended up getting a new PS90 and a new FS2000. PS90 is still not CA-compliant so no pictures until I can get it put together but here's my new FS2000 complete with Lan World Raddlock.

UPDATE: Made some changes to the configuration of the rifle. Sent the rifle to Mike Frost at MFI to remove the factory flash hider and then added the unmarked M4 fake suppressor. Also removed the factory optic and replaced it with a Millett DMS-1 variable illuminated scope. Scope currently sits on an American Defense Recon-S QD mount. Also bought and added the Urban ERT two point FS2000 sling. Thanks to Marxdspot for details on his setup which allowed me to change mine up to a more favorable one. Original configuration is on the next thread.

I NO LONGER OWN THIS GUN.

Here's the rifle in its original configuration sans the MFI can, sling mount, scope, and ADM scope mount. Has the factory optic and hood installed along with the Lan World (Prince50) barrel extension which slides over the factory flash hider and is secured on by 4 small Allen head scews.

What is wrong with you filter? In one day I see three threads about a G36, a Fs2000, and a SCAR. Are you married?

Yea married with 4 kids.

I don't normally take pictures of my rifles but my conversion was just finished and so I wanted to take pictures of it. So after that I just kept taking rifles out of the safe and snapping pictures. After the third rifle I got bored and stopped.

That thing looks almost EXACTLY like a Battlestar Gallactica (or was it Space 1999?) toy by Mattel that I had as a kid! Seriously!

Impressive. Too bad about the barrel extension, but it's a small price to pay. The F2000 is really a beautiful piece of engineering!

Yeah I'm not too happy about that extension. It doesn't look like it belongs with the gun. I may just replace the flash hider with a longer one.

I suggest the faux can from MFI (Mike Frost). I thought that without the OEM muzzle device, the FS2K recoil might change, but it didn't. Very easy to install and I highly recommend it. I also started out with the same rifle with the OEM optics, and decided to go with an illuminated variable optic, ie Millet DMS. Here's some pics:

Man that looks hot! Especially with the tri-rail, offset light mount, and MFI can. I think I may have to make some changes to my configuration.

Forgot to add this vid of my friend shooting the FS2K the other nite. My friends actually had more fun shooting the FS2K than the SCAR. I rank them even on the fun scale.

You're friend needs to learn what makes a cool gun shoot video for semi-autos - MAG DUMPS!

Seriously beautiful rifle though, to the both of you.

XfilterX, I like the looks of your KISS FS2000 a lot though... Only thing I would add is the fake can and maybe the folding very grip

too bad angeles range doesn't allow rapid fire. so no mag dumps unless you want to be banned.

Yeah I actually go to Iron Sights often. I usually go during noon hours during my lunch break and there's rarely anyone there except for maybe a CHP here and there. Believe it or not, I've gone several times with my UMP 9mm, CA94, and other cool looking toys and very rarely do people even look over.

I bought it from a shop outside of California new for $1750. FN had their rebates going on at the time so I got $250 back from FN. So it was $1500 excluding DROS and transfer fees.

I also got a PS90 for $1700 with a $200 rebate, so I got that for $1500. I'm glad I waited on getting these rifles because I got to take advantage of the rebates!

Enjoy the 2000 it's an awesome gun.
Thanks for the warning. It's already off and I've sent the upper to Mike Frost to have an MFI M4 can installed.

I'm also in the process of replacing the factory optics with something else. I'm going to take marxdspot's advice and go with the Millet DMS-1 with a GG&G QD cantilever mount. Not sure about tri rail....I kind like the factory handguard.

I actually don't mind the factory optic. I like how the rifle looks overall with it on. What I don't like about it is the relief is very small and 1.5x is just not enough power to warrant using it or relying on it. I think Marxdspot has it right in using a variable power 1-4x scope with a much bigger eye relief.

Are there any ways that spent casings could get jammed up in the ejection tube?
