Default Handgun Wait Support Group Thread

I bought a new handgun last week and have 4 more days to go until I can pick it up. The days seem to go by so slow!

Anyone else in their 10 day waiting period?

Ahh... yes the 10 day wait. I dont know what it is but the 10 day waits just kill me. I have found that it helps to spend the 10 days buying all the acc. you can find for your new baby so that when it does come home it feels comfortable with teh others.

I can go pick up my newest toy on Monday. Everything should have arrived by then

That doesn’t work. I tried that this week. Was at the gun shop and bought 2 more guns for another 10 days.

Default The 10 day clock starts ticking...

DROS today... 10 days... Feb 12th seems so far away! My new baby... HK45 NO, not the USP! (photo is not the actual HK I'm waiting for)

I am with s10rick on this one as well. The stupid ten day waiting period flies by when you are busy picking up accessories for it (extra mags, recoil springs, recoil buffer, ammo, weapon light, cleaning kit, etc). I would also put together a kit so when that day comes, you can head straight to the range and work out the angst from being separated for ten days. BTW, I will be picking up a Sig SP2022 on 12/6.

My Springfield TRP was delivered to my FFL yesterday. 9.5 days to go. At this point 4 days actually sounds good.

Default I just got my new 1911

Now I'm waiting for some .45 ammo to come in. Everyone I tried has practice ammo on back order. SD ammo is running about a buck a round!

Yeah I remember it was HELL when I bought my first one. It has seemed to get easier every time after, probably because now I have plenty other guns to go shoot while I'm waiting for the next one. But I suspect that when I finally find someone selling the kel tec KSG and actually buy it, that wait is gonna be HARD!!

I respectfully disagree...after 50 years of collecting, it's never become just another gun for me...lol

10 days to my new Springer Trophy Match, and it's still killing me

Well, my new baby is home and been to the range. Shot a 3" group at 25 yds with no problem. Of course Wilson Combat will tighten that for me when they do the rebuild...can't wait to have the work done!

I feel ya. I figured I could be patient and wait till I have a free weekend till I pickup my HK45c. Instead, I'm planning to get some time off of work to go to Tracy and pickup my pistol on the 15th.

I thought...after all the guns I bought....this wait should be easy....

Nope...I think I've watched all the HK45/HK45c videos on YouTube. LOL.

I'm waiting on a rifle - 4 days, 15 hours to go.............

Scope is coming in the mail, it should get here about the same time..............

My Buyer's Guide and all my magazine articles just don't have meaning any more. The decision has been made.

For me it still varies, from gun to gun. However, it definitely isn't like the first few times. Man, back then I counldn't get the gun out of my mind, like an addict.

BTW, I just PPTed a gun today and yeah, I'm not feeling the jones as hard.

OMG. It's the middle of November, and I didn't pick anything up, have anything in DROS, or need to pick anything up for this month. First time since Jan. Am I addicted to black rifles.....or the 10 day wait?
