Default Clinic May 20

Attention All:



SMGC is pleased to announce the second wind clinic and it is scheduled for Sunday May 20th.



This clinic will be geared toward the XTC or Across the Course competitor and will include coaching for proper positioning of the body as well as equipment during all phases of firing from 200 through 600 yds.; specifically the National Match course of fire. It will be open and applicable to all classifications of shooters, including new shooters to the sport.

Special consideration for wind reading and mirage doping will also be covered extensively and reinforce the materiel covered in our previous Clinic on February 11th.



The primary instructor for this clinic is, Master Gunnery Sergeant USMC (Ret.) Harry Harrison. A long term Member of SMGC, Harry is a Distinguished Rifleman and outstanding coach. Please see some of his accomplishments below:



SMALLBORE

Smallbore Prone Distinguished Shooter

Finalist for the 1984 Olympic Smallbore Trials

Numerous State/Regional Championships, including 1983 California State Prone Champion

Former Member of the US Dewar Rifle Team

Former Member of the US National Developmental Rifle Team



HIGH POWER RIFLE

US Marine Corps Distinguished Rifle Shooter

2000 National Service Rifle Champion

2001 National Trophy Team Championship - Firing Member

2010, 2011 National Police Rifle Champion

Numerous State/Regional Championships

Former Member/Coach of the USMCR Rifle Team 1982-2008



He will be joined on the line coaching by several of his colleagues and other distinguished riflemen.



Similar to last time, this Clinic will be open to all Military personnel and SMGC Members first, with all others welcome to register after May 10th and contingent upon space available and successful application for membership in the SMGC.

This is a perfect opportunity for all comers to improve their performance and reinforce skills.
