My horse hide belt from The Beltman has the same style buckle. What's the other side look like (how is the leather folded over)? My belt is serviceable since the leather isn't stitched once it's folded over, but I doubt yours is the same.

What I would more likely do, purchase a buckle and find a local cobbler to see if they can help you out. Most people that repair shoes well, will repair other leather goods without issue.
