Like you, I really like the detents between illumination settings - that's a feature that would be nice to have on this scope... but the built-in throw lever is a nicety that you don't find on others (not quite a wash, since you can add a throw lever but can't add the off between illumination settings).
I definitely will get this scope when available - and look forward to it!
