That's why they make a version specifically for aircraft. I have used it for years to degrease and I can tell you that my plane has not corroded. It has a Boeing approval # as well.
I am not sure if it would clean copper/lead fouling from guns but it will clean the muddy grease and soot.
On the other hand I just use CLP.
