I know we already have a photo thread dedicated to the MK-12 SPR and similar rifles, but I dodn't think we have one dedicated to their smaller, lighter predecessor, the mythical RECCE/ SEAL Recon Rifle. Since liitle is known about these rifles that were developed at individual units by SEAL Team armorers, there really isn't a rigid set of specs available for these like there are for the MK 12 Mod 0 and Mod 1 rifles that were made at Crane later. For the purposes of this thread, the term RECCE or Recon Rifle applies to any lightweight precision carbines that have the following features:
- 16" medium contour barrel with mid length gas system
- Rifle length forend, either quad rail or modular with top rail.
- Flat Top upper receiver equipped with magnified optics
- Bipod equipped
Bonus Points for rifles using Mil Spec hardware/furniture or having muzzle devices set up for using a can.
Extra Bonus Points for ratty and beaten looking Krylon paint jobs.
