Does that front sight hood protector come pretty close to the front sight fin when you look down the sights? If there's a very good amount of space then it could be a USMC sight hood worth easily $200-280 from various online retailers - although there are a number of repros out there too.... If the hood is pretty close to the front sight fin, then it's probably just a normal sight hood which you'll probably end up removing yourself because they're kind of a pain in the *** to shoot with when it's on.
