M1A. It's pricey, and unless you bought 20 rounders before the ban, you can only buy 10 round magazines now. Possession is not covered, only transfer and manufacture. For closer ranges and urban, the SOCOM-16 or the Scout Squad would be better than the full length barrel.
Essentially, the M1A is the only real option we have. I'm not sure I trust the Mini-14 or the SU-16.
