I have never had a problem with Windows 7 and Acronis, but I don’t buy any of their home products either… I use their business / enterprise products and they give you additional features not typically found in the home versions.

I recommend Acronis Backup and Recovery Workstation with the Universal Restore option…

On top of that you are entitles to updates of the software based on an annual basis when you purchase their product.

Bootable media can be setup in various ways, PEX boot, USB, CD/DVD…

Store options include SMB or FTP network shares, USB flash drives and external HDD, CD, DVD, HD-DVD and BluRay, various other removable devices, and cloud storage...

Universal restore allows recovery to a system with dissimilar hardware and even a virtual machine…

Its extremely flexible and powerful software, which has saved me on more than one occasion…
