Thanks to your post it got me searching and found out the Harbor Freight 44'' box at $369 that is far superior.

I didn't change the size btw. It is a 40'' Griplatch top and bottom for $800 out the door. Trust me though, its super flimsy compared to the Harbor Freight one. Craftsman brand means nothing these days.

If you are in socal, I still have the combo at Sears will call ( in OC, Just haven't picked it up yet). You can have it for what I paid for it. It goes on sale for $700 on Black Friday if you want to brave the crowds. In 2 weeks it will cancel itself (they called me)

42'' at $400 is a sweet deal. I'd imagine very comparable or even better quality than the crapsman.

I was already unimpressed with their ''Premium ball bearing'' boxes. Their basic ones are a joke. I figure this is the last tool box I'll buy for a long time and despite being a HF box, it is very solid. I recommend you visit each store and check them out to see for yourself.
