I totally agree. However, with less than $10 worth of supplies, you can install an internal power outlet in any safe fairly easily. You can also use a cheap extension cord, remove one end and wire an outlet inside the safe that way, so you don't have to cut unto any walls. So with about 20-30 minutes of work, you'll have the added feature with the peace of mind of extra security.

If I decide to do this, I will post a How Too, but these were just extra supplies I had laying around my garage from other projects. I kind of doubt I will ever need an outlet/power in my safe. Silica gel/battery powered LED lights and I am good to go! No power needed. Some may need it though??
