Five turns is a fair amount of distance I agree, would a touch (just enough to gum things up a bit) of blue loctite be advisable? I think blue would allow for turning but prevent any free backing out possibility.

Although if you have to loctite it, you might as well have a standard BB? That would be just about as easy to "De-Kalifornicate"-remove loctite BB, insert standard mag release...wash, rinse, repeat after returning from the free-states.
