It is probably a mute point anyway because the Senate Republicans don't have the balls to do what they would need to do to get enough Democrats on board to get the 60 votes needed for cloture.

From what I understand, it makes detaining someone on the basis of a handgun to be illegal. So I think the argument is moot.
