Ended up picking up this one a few hours ago. Gun, 2 15 round magazines and a Blackhawk CQC holster. Great condition, very little wear on the outside of the barrel or on the frame and slide. Some light scratches on the left side of the slide that I am not too worried about. Bore looks excellent. Has Hogue rubber panel grips which may get replaced with the finger groove grips. $530 for everything, was a bit toward the high end of what I wanted to pay but definitely worth it.
I had gone over to Bass Pro Shop earlier today to feel up both the PT92 and 92FS side by side and while I liked the rail and frame mounted safety of the Taurus over the lack of rail and slide mounted safety of the Beretta, I decided I liked the way the Beretta felt in my hand more than the Taurus, along with the fact that I thought the sights on the Taurus looked, the looked cheap and poorly done (dots weren't even on rear sight) compared to the clean look of the rear sight on the 92FS.
(yes it has a serial number, I am just OCD about photoshopping them out of pics that I post)
Now I just need to order myself another 6-8 magazines for it, included two extended 30 rounders
I do want to thank everyone who posted in this thread and gave me their opinions based upon their experience. It sucks that I didn't get the chance to shoot a PT92 for a comparison or even pull the trigger on one. Maybe in a few months I will pick one up anyway and see if I like it. Worst case scenario, selling a gun that you bought and didn't like is pretty easy out here.
Looking forward to hitting the range in 12 hours with this gun. I'll have to post pics if I don't embarrass myself, it's been a long time since I have shot a 92 series pistol.
