yes, Im late to the party. I want (a) Garand(s).
Ive started looking around at options and just found out that if i find one i like from a dealer, I have to pay sales tax + fees.
So doing the math, it seems like a C&R + COE (50 bucks) + 20 registration is way cheaper than what id have to pay to an FFL (approx 150). And thats just buying one gun.
Online ammo sales seems to be another plus.
No sales tax to FFL would be nice too
Ive read some about inventory reviews. Seems like that might be a reason NOT to CR/COE, but are they only looking at my Garands or are they looking at everything else i have too (legal of course... ar15s)?
Why would i NOT want to go down the road of CR/COE in present day CA?
